E. S. Reddy (Enuga Sreenivasulu Reddy) from Nellore district. Former Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations and director of the United Nations Centre against Apartheid. Actively supported South African freedom movement from 1946. Friend of Nelson Mandela and other leaders of South Africa. Wrote many books and articles on the South African freedom movement and on Mahatma Gandhi.
